Engineering, Emergent Talent Intern (Summer)
Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking an Engineering, Emerging Talent Intern for the summer to support the Operations Support department. The intern will work closely with Engineering Employees, attending meetings and assisting with various tasks like report writing and project support.

Track Replacement
Switch Replacement
Procurement of New Heavy Equipment used for Construction and Maintenance
Radio [Walkie Talkie] Upgrade, moving into a monopole backbone system
Third Party Support: includes Con Ed, NYCDOT, NYSDOT, NYCDEP, NYCEDC, etc
Bridge inspections/Structural Integrity
Structural Painting/Overcoating
Qualification
Required
The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills
The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player
Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least 2.5 GPA AND/OR matriculated in a graduate program in good standing with at least 2.8 GPA
Major(s) Preferred: Engineering Major – any of the following: Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Computer
