DMV Enforcement Analyst
Metropolitan Transportation Authority operates the largest bridge and tunnel network in New York City, managing nine crossings that connect communities across the five boroughs. They are seeking a DMV Enforcement Analyst to support DMV enforcement programs and handle data related to vehicle registrations, ensuring compliance with regulations and enhancing revenue recovery.

Responsibilities
Management and manipulation of query file data dumps containing eligible plates and violations
Sorting and selecting weekly top violators
Sorting and selecting monthly out of state vehicles for exclusion
Fully vetting accounts/plates to ensure that they meet the criteria of the legislation/regulation before submission
Running a DMV PREED registration inquiry for each selected plate to confirm address match to notice
Tracking exclusions, e.g., those previously submitted for suspension, those with Bankruptcy filings, those that may be postponed based on Agency directive, those with payment plans
Reconciling payment queries with clearances
Preparing the final weekly file for the Law Department’s review to confirm that Bankruptcies were not filed
Submitting plates into DMV PREED system to request suspension
Preparing weekly and monthly summary reports
Identifying violator subsets where there is potential for increased revenue recovery
Researching and resolving issues related to the program
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all policies and standards
May be required to work hours outside regular work hours, as applicable
Observes the work performed by contractors, as applicable
Reviews invoices and approve them if the work has contractual standards, as applicable
Addresses performance issues with the contractor, when possible, as applicable
Escalates issues to other parties when needed, as applicable
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field (management, finance, quantitative analysis, economics)
Minimum 4 (four) years of experience in financial or operational analysis
Strong analytical skills – ability to gather and sort data, identify, and report anomalies, and monitor through resolution
Strong communication skills – ability to clearly convey results of analyses in oral and written formats
Extensive Microsoft Excel/Access skills – advanced Excel and Access skills required to maintain databases of culled data, manipulate data, and create reports as required
Strong interpersonal skills – this position will need to partner with other staff members inside and outside of Toll Operations to accomplish individual and unit's goals
Strong time management skills – this position will need to provide analyses of data within deadlines established for weekly submissions to DMV
Ad hoc analyses will be required when unplanned projects or requests arise
