ZooTampa at Lowry Park is a popular zoo that focuses on conservation and community impact. They are seeking a Director of Brand Management to lead the brand marketing department, oversee advertising and digital initiatives, and ensure a cohesive brand identity that engages their audience.

Responsibilities
Lead the brand marketing department and oversee all advertising, digital marketing, website, graphic design and in-park signage initiatives
Lead the development and refinement of the brand’s messages and creative designs to communicate brand essence, engage target audiences, and drive demand
Oversee consumer-facing communication approaches for the brand and serves as a primary marketing point of contact with external Zoo partners
Works with Executive Leadership Team in development and evolution of brand identity
Ensure brand positioning and identity is consistently carried throughout all consumer and stakeholder touch points
Organize and traffic creative projects (internally and externally)
Guide team that maintains and updates website & mobile app, executes email campaigns & monthly newsletters
Work with agencies to cost effectively advertise and promote the Zoo within annual budget
Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns and assess against goals
Manages the Zoo’s marketing budget, which includes monitoring accounts monthly, ensuring all invoices are coded properly and the team and vendors follow all accounting guidelines
Continuously analyzes the competitive environment and consumer trends and recommends offensive strategies
Actively participates in internal committees and other meetings, as appropriate
Mentoring, supervision and professional development of 3 employees
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in advertising, marketing or related field
Strong preference for 7-10 years of working experience developing creative and innovative marketing strategies and executing effective brand marketing campaigns
Must possess exceptional leadership skills with demonstrated ability (minimum of 2 years) of team management
Ability to identify target audiences and devise campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
Ability to organize and traffic creative projects and see to completion, on time and on budget
Excellent understanding of both traditional and non-traditional marketing mix
Must be proficient (intermediate to advanced) with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (Creative Cloud) and be able to adapt well and quickly to various other computer programs and technologies (both PC and Mac)
Strong visual communication skills including video and static communications
Highly creative with the ability to think outside the box
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities of competing urgency and importance
Show proficiency in CRM systems, databases, and marketing automation
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions typical to the area (i.e., heat, rain, or cold)
Ability to use radio, phone or computer to communicate and follow written and verbal instructions
Must be available to work varied and long shifts including holidays, weekends and in support of events as needed
Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions including sitting, bending, standing, and walking
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
