Alaska Airlines is seeking a Flight Simulator Engineer to join the team to provide support and expertise in Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTDs). This role supports the FSTDs, ensuring their availability and resolving complex technical issues to meet training objectives.

Responsibilities

Maintain the flight simulator and support engineering staff with software and hardware updates to ensure the training devices are appropriately configured and meet Alaska Airlines (AS) training requirements

Responsible for 24/7 Flight Simulator Training Device (FSTD) engineering coverage and resolves complex FSTD discrepancies through troubleshooting and repair utilizing fault-finding techniques

Ensure their availability by applying engineering, experience, logic, reasoning, and ingenuity in a systematic effort to bring closure to complex technical issues

Exercise considerable latitude and evaluate major updates to enhance and develop department technical infrastructure and capability and to overcome obsolescence issues
