They are seeking a VP of California to lead and scale their operations in the state, with a focus on financial performance, team leadership, and market activation.

Responsibilities

Own full P&L responsibility for California, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance
Lead and oversee regional executives, sales managers, sales representatives, and field operations
Manage local construction efforts and coordinate closely with PMO and government affairs teams
Establish operational clarity and oversight across: + Field operations managers + Service and maintenance functions + Sales leadership and execution
Drive early-stage market activation, with an initial focus on launching and scaling priority California markets, followed by deeper market penetration and customer experience optimization
Serve as the executive point person for California, aligning cross-functional teams to deliver growth and operational excellence
Provide monthly executive-level updates on California’s overall performance, progress, and strategic priorities
Partner with Finance to develop and manage the California budget and ensure clear understanding of P&L ownership

Required

Significant leadership experience in operations, general management, or regional/state-level roles
Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and lead teams in a growing or evolving organization
Comfortable operating across multiple functions, including operations, sales, construction, and customer-facing teams
Strong business judgment with the ability to balance strategy and execution in a dynamic environment
Experience working with cross-functional partners and senior leadership
Clear, executive-level communication skills and the ability to provide regular updates on performance and progress
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and adapt as the role and organization scale
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
