Financial Planning and Analysis Manager
CooperDouglas is partnering with a high-growth, privately held company to identify a Finance Manager to join its leadership team. This role involves owning financial planning, performance analysis, and investment decisioning while influencing how the company scales and drives profitability.
Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted finance partner to operational and functional leadership, providing clear financial insight, guidance, and decision support
Prepare and communicate monthly financial results, rolling forecasts, and annual operating plans
Develop and consolidate reporting packages including actual vs budget vs prior year analysis and executive-level variance commentary
Build and maintain KPI dashboards covering productivity, cost performance, margins, working capital, inventory, backlog, and fixed assets
Support strategic planning initiatives and translate corporate objectives into actionable financial targets and operating budgets
Lead annual standard cost updates and ongoing cost structure analysis where applicable
Oversee labor and overhead budgeting, capacity planning, and activity rate development tied to production or service plans
Ensure accuracy and control over cost drivers, bills of material, and standard labor assumptions as applicable
Evaluate capital expenditure and cost-saving initiatives including financial modeling, investment justification, and post-implementation reviews
Maintain strong internal controls and proactively identify and remediate process gaps or risks
Support external and internal audits with complete documentation and clear financial explanations
Oversee inventory planning, physical counts, reconciliation, and reporting
Provide financial support for new product launches, programs, or major initiatives including cost estimation and margin impact analysis
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
Support system implementations and process improvements as needed
Execute ad hoc financial analyses and special projects for executive leadership
Enforce corporate policies and financial governance standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
4+ years of experience in corporate finance, cost accounting, and/or FP&A
Proven ability to operate independently and drive results in fast-paced environments
Manufacturing or operational finance is required
Advanced Excel required
Strong executive communication and cross-functional leadership skills
