Educator Licensure Support Assistant Administrative Aide
The Maryland State Department of Education is dedicated to supporting a world-class educational system that prepares all students for college and career success. The Educator Licensure Support Assistant Administrative Aide is responsible for determining the completeness of licensure documents and providing accurate information to applicants and credential holders.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Independently responsible for screening applications to determine completeness of documents
Reviews all correspondence and documentation received and assigns to appropriate specialist
Enters information into The Educator Application and Credentialing Hub (TEACH)
Provides internal and external constituents with complex licensure information
Provides technical assistance to applicants submitting requests through the portal
Provides support for scanning licensure documents
Independently completes Hall of Records requests
Providing back-up administrative support for the Division of Educator Effectiveness
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
Four years performing secretarial work or clerical work involving typing duties
One year of experience with Call Center Customer Service
Applicants must consent to a State Police Investigation (fingerprinting) as a routine procedure for all employees with this Agency
Preferred
Experience with Microsoft Suite, Google Suite and Smartsheet
Experience with document management (filing, scanning, cataloging)
Data management experience
