Intern - Park Naturalist (Summer)
The State of South Dakota is seeking a Naturalist Intern to coordinate and present environmental education programs for various groups. This role involves developing educational materials and assisting with visitor center operations and special events.

Responsibilities
Help coordinate, create, and present environmental education programs for school groups, special groups and the general public
Be involved with the development of press releases, posters, Facebook page, and public service announcements
Help with visitor center needs such as cleaning, taking care of interpretive animals and staffing of the visitor center during the week and weekends
Help in coordination of special events
Qualification
Required
APPLICANT MUST BE A CURRENT PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME STUDENT (MINIMUM OF 6 CREDIT HOURS) IN UPCOMING SEMESTER OR IN THE IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING SEMESTER
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply
By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program
Preferred
Preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior
Preference may be given to South Dakota residents
Preference may be given to students of South Dakota institutions
