Healthcare Prof CTE MA Instructor - Training & Development - PT .5 DAYS
Sky Lakes Medical Center is seeking a qualified professional to serve as a Healthcare Prof CTE MA Instructor for the Medical Assistant program in partnership with Klamath Community College. The role involves teaching healthcare-related courses to high school students while also performing industry-related duties within the healthcare setting, focusing on workforce development and supporting student pathways into healthcare careers.

Responsibilities
Teach healthcare-related courses, including but not limited to medical terminology, anatomy, patient care, and medical ethics, to high school students
Develop, plan, and implement curriculum for the assigned CTE courses, ensuring alignment with industry standards and educational goals
Provide hands-on instruction, mentorship, and support to students to enhance their understanding of healthcare professions
Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and achievement
Collaborate with school staff to monitor student progress, implement assessments, and provide guidance on career exploration and development
Organize and facilitate career-focused events, such as internships, job shadowing opportunities, and guest speakers from the medical field
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent professional experience with certification
Minimum 1 year of experience working in a healthcare environment (clinical or administrative)
Necessary certifications as applicable to experience e.g., RN, LPN, CMA, etc
Preferred
Prior teaching or mentoring experience
Knowledge of Career and Technical Education (CTE) standards and educational practices for high school students
