Responsibilities
Own production reliability and availability of a large-scale enterprise wireless network
Define and improve SLOs, SLIs, and operational metrics for wireless services
Drive automation to reduce manual toil and reactive operations
Partner with architecture, tooling, and deployment teams to ensure production-ready designs
Leverage telemetry, synthetics, and monitoring to improve user experience
Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and blameless postmortems
Mentor and enable global network support teams
Qualification
Required
8+ years in wireless network operations, network SRE, or infrastructure engineering
Expert knowledge of enterprise wireless (802.11ac/ax, WPA2/3, 802.1X, RADIUS, EAP)
Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, VPN, L2 switching
Hands-on scripting experience (Python, Bash, or Perl)
Experience with monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, NetBox/Nautobot)
SRE experience or strong production-operations mindset
BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Minimum of 8 years of industry experience in wireless site reliability engineering, wireless network operations, or related areas
Expert-level knowledge in wireless technologies such as 802.11ac and 802.11ax in addition to surrounding technologies such as WPA, Radius, EAP, 802.1X
Strong familiarity with WLAN controllers – especially Mist
Understanding RF fundamentals, site surveys, spectrum analysis, and interference mitigation
Capable of building and interpreting wireless site heatmaps and optimizing for events
Proven track record in network operations
Experience in one or more of the following: Python, Perl, Bash
Familiarity with network management tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager, Nautobot/Netbox, Netdisco
Knowledge of Linux system fundamentals is a plus
Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with excellent communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
