Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or a combination of experience, education and/or training required
More than one year of previous experience in a similar role or function required
Ability to work independently with minimal direction at times
Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with administrative personnel and faculty, as part of a management team
Skill to operate personal computer and proficient with related software (MS Office, Excel, Sharepoint)
Possess mathematical and accounting skills required to analyze statistical data, prepare statistical reports, salary projections and forecast trends
Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively (both orally and in writing) with all levels of academic, administrative, clinical, and staff personnel within the School of Medicine, Campus, Medical Center, and outside agencies, institutions, and private industry
Ability to effectively interpret UC policies and communicate to faculty and staff
Ability to work collaboratively with the entire team
Ability to provide feedback in best practices
Ability to effectively handle sensitive information, difficult situations, and maintain confidentiality
Ability to maintain composure while working on multiple projects, conflicting priorities, heavy workloads, and demanding deadlines
Ability to effectively organize and prioritize workload responsibilities while maintaining and meeting deadlines
Ability to evaluate systems and procedures and to design and process improvement programs
Knowledge of office policies and procedures sufficient to effectively perform job and utilize available resources
Use tact and diplomacy at all times
Maintain confidentiality in all HR/personnel matters

Preferred

UC Path experience preferred
DMS/PDL and FMLA leave experience preferred
MS Office Suite experience preferred with and ability to strongly perform summations and calculations
Experience using Airtable
Knowledge of University policies and procedures including deadlines, standards, forms, academic and staff personnel, accounting, and payroll matters
Proficiency in UC data systems, including PPS Decision Support, KFS, DaFIS, UC Path
Proficient in processing payroll for academic and staff personnel
