Responsibilities
Handle all phases of workers' compensation litigation including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery
Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials (hearing experience a strong plus)
Assist with case strategy, legal research, and client communication
Represent employers and insurance carriers in workplace injury claims, compensability disputes, and benefit defense matters
Work closely with partners, claims professionals, and support staff to drive efficient case resolution
Qualification
Required
1+ year of experience
Active Florida Bar member in good standing
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple cases in a deadline-driven environment
Motivated, detail-oriented attorney eager to develop litigation and courtroom skills
Preferred
1+ year of litigation experience (workers' compensation or insurance defense experience preferred)
