Responsibilities
Oversees the highly complex and technical operations of the two sections responsible for data quality
Provides oversight for ongoing data quality for the Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System (T-MSIS)
Implements data quality assessments and reporting specific to oversight requirements for managed care plans
Works with technology system teams and program teams to address quality issues
Monitors data sources to assess changes over time and makes modifications to support outcomes and analysis
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of health care programs
Knowledge of the state's Medi-Cal program and health delivery systems
Knowledge of state budget and financial management processes
Knowledge of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
Knowledge of health information technology and interoperability
Ability to work successfully with persons at high levels of government
Skill to analyze complex program implementation problems and develop effective courses of action to solve them
Knowledge of Data Quality standards, T-MSIS, ICD-9 and ICD-10 medical codes
Skills in effective Organization Change Management
Skill in Agile Project Management
