Electronics Technician II
Texas A&M University is looking to hire a new Electronics Technician II at the Cyclotron Institute. The role involves installing, operating, and repairing electronic equipment for research and instructional purposes, as well as performing preventative maintenance and instructing students on equipment use.

Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuits using necessary equipment
Repair mechanical and electrical equipment as required
Perform preventative maintenance as necessary and instruct students on the proper use of equipment
Help design and fabricate electronic equipment
Document, repair and design electronics systems using AutoCAD and/or pCad as required
Establish and oversee standard operating procedures
Perform research tasks
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or any equivalent combination of education and experience
Four years of related experience as an electronics technician
Knowledge of test equipment, spectrum analyzers, digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, radio test equipment, meters, signal generators, amp meters, voltmeters, and other digital instruments
Preferred
Associate's degree/vocational school
Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane and operate and repair electrical switch gear
Ability to repair power supply
