Responsibilities
Design, develop, test and deploy Java-based microservices to meet business needs and ensure high performance and scalability
Work closely with product managers, architects, and other engineering teams to define system requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while ensuring application performance, scalability, and security
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes, frameworks, and tools through active participation in code reviews, pair programming, and mentoring
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on users
Collaborate with project teams and other Software Engineers to provide technical support
Support assigned IT systems/applications by troubleshooting and resolving defects
Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, in a related field, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated ability to independently identify program issues and develop the appropriate solution, typically requiring at least 2 years of experience
Proficiency in Java and experience with popular frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Batch, or similar tools
Experience with relational databases e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 or similar, and understanding of database design and optimization
Familiarity with RESTful API design, integration, and testing, including tools like Postman or Swagger
Preferred
Strong understanding of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures associated with programming
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
Knowledge of monitoring and logging frameworks
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, contributing to both development and operational excellence
