Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking an entry-level motivated and team-oriented Full Stack Web Developer to develop database‐backed web applications and public facing websites. In this role, you will work closely with a team of designers and developers to build functional and engaging websites, while ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements.

Responsibilities

Write clean, consistent and well‐documented code
Design, implement, test, and maintain web applications using a variety of web technologies and libraries
Create quality UI mockups, storyboards, and prototypes
Design relational data models
Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum development environment
Get feedback from, and build solutions for, users and customers
Provide operational support for existing systems
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Gather and evaluate user requirements and feedback with customers, product managers, and team

Required

Bachelor's degree in software engineering, information technology, computer science, or a related field
1+ year of web application development experience
Outstanding skills in two or more of the following: Front-end web development, Application design and development, Back-end development, Relational databases, Software quality assurance
Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self‐motivated and customer-service oriented
Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or other U.S. person

Preferred

Understanding of UX/UI design principles
Experience with responsive web design
Experience with JavaScript frameworks including modern front-end libraries (e.g. Vue)
Knowledge of SEO principles
Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
