Responsibilities
Perform Linux administrative tasks for platforms labs, which will include debugging system and network issues related to lab networks, engineering test setups, hosts, switches, routers, and programmers
Work with cross-functional teams on bring up tasks such as hardware assembly, programming with hardware tools, and SW/OS/firmware updates
Perform testing of prototype devices, utilize schematics for capturing data utilizing test equipment, modify scripts, and write test reports
Receive and manage hardware components and material for project builds, disperse hardware per allocation plan, and manage lab inventory of consumables to maintain a safe operating lab
Work with teams bringing up new labs and services to document lab layout, prioritize tasks, and develop processes and procedures for automation of lab operations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience
4 years of experience working in a lab environment
Ability to lift/move 30lb (14kg) of equipment and ability to exert yourself physically over extended periods of time, including frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling and lifting
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP)
7 years of experience working in a lab environment
Experience configuring network switches
