Responsibilities
Investigate and report on quality trends, process capabilities and quality deficiencies to production, engineering, and support areas while recommending appropriate resolution activities
Audit documentation and reviews quality data to ensure finished production complies with quality standards prior to shipment. Implements recommended preventative or correct action to maintain adherence to quality standards
Oversee the defect management process (NCRs) including assignments of defects for resolution
Monitor the implementation of corrective actions, tests solution effectiveness, and provides feedback on results
Assist in PDCA investigations for customer, vendor, and internal problem-resolution. Serve as point-of-contact for external customer and vendor inquiries
Participates in internal quality system and process evaluations to identify compliance issues and areas for corrective/preventive action. Follow up to assess the proper identification of problem cause and implementation of effective countermeasures
Prepares correspondence, reports, and communication materials. Responds to semi-routine inquiries about the test data, causes of defects, and test findings
