Responsibilities

Providing, obtaining, and processing student financial aid information, and packaging financial aid awards
Providing individualized professional financial aid counseling to current and prospective students and parents
Providing information through outreach to the university and greater community at large
Maintaining regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance
Creating and maintaining collegial, harmonious working relationships with others

Qualification

Required

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
At least one year of experience in student financial aid or a related area
Knowledge of counseling techniques
Knowledge of principles and practices of money management
Ability to effectively disseminate information orally and in writing
Ability to collect, analyze, compile, and record data
Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community

Preferred

Experience working in a higher education professional office setting
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
Customer service experience
Proof of Veteran Status
