Intern - Marketing and Communications - Summer 2026
North Jersey Friendship House, Inc. is seeking a Summer 2026 intern for their Marketing and Communications department. The role involves assisting with planning and executing special events, soliciting donations, and developing content for various platforms including social media and newsletters.

Responsibilities
Actively participate in planning of special events
Assist with executing special events when appropriate and available
Research potential donors and corporate/business sponsors
Solicit donations for silent auction/tricky tray
Facilitate all mailings for special events (invitations, sponsorships, etc.)
Updating donor database on a regular basis
Drafting artwork and verbiage to be used on website and in social media posts
Create Social Media content calendar and create content as needed
Draft press releases as needed
Draft articles for staff and agency wide newsletters
Qualification
Required
Minimum of high school education or currently enrolled in high school
Past experience in special event planning/executing
Previous knowledge and experience with social media platforms
Ability to take direction and work independently
