Responsibilities
Administer health, dental, vision, life insurance, and other benefit programs
Serve as the primary contact for benefit providers and resolve issues
Conduct benefits orientation, monitor compliance, and address employee queries
Oversee the annual benefits open enrollment process
Lead the orientation for new hires (paperwork, equipment setup, culture training) and manage exit interviews
Act as a trusted point of contact for employee concerns and facilitate conflict resolution
Maintain and update the Employee Handbook; ensure the company stays compliant with federal, state, and local labor laws
Oversee the physical office space, managing relationships with the landlord, janitorial services, and maintenance
Negotiate and manage contracts with service providers (internet, snacks/catering, office supplies, insurance)
Organize team-building activities, holiday parties, and office celebrations to foster high employee engagement
Qualification
Required
8-10+ years in HR, Office Management, and/or Operations
Proficiency in MS Office
Exceptional empathy
Discretion with confidential data
'Radar-like' attention to detail
Preferred
Law firm experience strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
Experience with legal billing is a plus
SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a significant plus
