Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

Review daily revenue reports and night audit packages for accuracy
Verify cash and reconcile credit cards as needed
Research and correct revenue discrepancies as needed
Review and manage the guest ledger and advance deposit ledger
Receive, code, and process vendor invoices
Obtain W-9 documentation when needed
Respond and track chargebacks
Manage city ledger accounts including groups, banquets, and direct billings
Manage billings for large events within PMS
Prepare and distribute invoices
Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
Update customer accounts and maintain AR files
Process and monitor all Hilton Advance Purchase postings
Reward reimbursement reconciliation & postings
Assist with Tax Exempt tracking & reporting Payroll Support
Assist with tip and service charge pay outs and reconciliations Month-End Close
Assist in preparation of system reports
Assist in managing inventory counts and waste logs
Track F&B transfers & Hilton F&B credits Compliance & Reporting
Support internal and external audits
Maintain organized financial files and audit documentation
Ensure compliance with brand, ownership, and company accounting policies
Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
Minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience, preferably within hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or food and beverage environments
Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with hotel accounting systems preferred
High attention to detail with the ability to analyze data and identify variances
Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to meet tight deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced, multi-property environment

Preferred

Experience with hotel accounting systems preferred
