Responsibilities
Define and maintain the enterprise macOS management architecture using Microsoft Intune
Design enrollment, configuration, compliance, and lifecycle management models at scale
Establish standards, guardrails, and best practices for macOS endpoints
Own the roadmap for macOS management and modernization
Architect macOS security controls including encryption, device hardening, and policy enforcement
Integrate macOS management with identity and conditional access strategies
Partner with security teams on audits, risk remediation, and Zero Trust alignment
Lead automation-first macOS management using Shell scripting (bash/zsh)
Build self-healing, remediation, and reporting solutions
Reduce manual operations through scalable, policy-driven designs
Design macOS application packaging, deployment, and update strategies
Own Day 0 / Day 1 / Day 2 user experience for Mac devices
Evaluate and integrate third-party tools where required
Act as L3 / Subject Matter Expert for complex macOS and Intune issues
Define support models, escalation paths, and operational runbooks
Drive root-cause analysis and long-term fixes
Mentor engineers and raise macOS management maturity
Produce architecture documents, standards, and executive-ready material
Translate business and security requirements into technical solutions
Qualification
Required
Deep, hands-on experience managing macOS with Microsoft Intune
Proven experience designing (not just supporting) endpoint solutions
Strong macOS security and lifecycle management knowledge
Advanced Shell scripting (bash/zsh) and automation experience
Strong troubleshooting and architectural decision-making skills
8–12+ years in Endpoint / EUC engineering
4–6+ years owning macOS environments in enterprise scale deployments
Preferred
Apple Business Manager experience
Hybrid or co-managed endpoint environments
Endpoint security and compliance exposure
Relevant Microsoft or endpoint certifications
