Responsibilities

Accountable for projects and/or activities that ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Identifies gaps and drives solutions that minimize losses resulting from inadequate internal controls, processes, procedures, systems, or human errors. Accountable for the active identification, response and/or escalation of risks as appropriate
Influences policies and procedures to maximize profit potential and minimize regulatory exposure
Accountable for an effective partnership between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense

Required

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
10 or more years of applicable experience
Applicable professional certifications

Preferred

Works with risk partners to keep abreast of regulatory developments related to Foreign Exchange, and other capital markets businesses
5 or more years of risk-based finance experience
Knowledge pertaining to Basel capital governance, compliance and risk management practices
Knowledge of capital markets businesses, e.g. Foreign Exchange and Derivatives, and appropriate risk management practices
Considerable understanding of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business
Ability to build and manage a team of Business Risk professionals who have credibility and work directly with business line management, as appropriate
Basic knowledge of Business Risk competencies
Strong process facilitation and project management skills
Strong presentation, relationship building and negotiation skills
Possess business acumen and credibility to help business line(s) proactively identify and address changing workforce needs
Considerable understanding of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
Thorough knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
Knowledge of risk management models, policies, and procedures
Effective skills at managing stressful situations
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills
Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
