Sr. Solutions Architect - Federal Civilian Agencies
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate their growing State and Local Government business within the World Wide Public Sector practice. The role involves technical engagement and success around implementation projects, defining architectures, and providing thought leadership while collaborating with a sales and business development team.

Helping our customers to design and create cloud computing architectures
Providing exceptional technical design and thought leadership to our customers
Leading efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community
Qualification
Required
8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
Associate's degree or above, or CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) or CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or Cloud+ or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals
Ability to travel 30%
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen
Preferred
5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs
Experience working with end user or developer communities
