IT Intern
AE2S is an award-winning, specialized civil/environmental consulting engineering firm that provides professional services and a unique brand of extreme client service. As the IT Intern, you'll provide technology support to AE2S staff and clients through prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end-user requests that come through the IT Ticketing System.

Responsibilities
Provide timely and courteous end-user support by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing desktop-level fixes, installing and upgrading systems, and ensuring effective resolution through documented troubleshooting processes
Monitor and manage IT alerts and incidents by identifying emerging trends, reviewing help desk tickets, and collaborating with security teams to detect, document, and escalate potential security issues
Assist with software releases, system rollouts, backups, and configuration changes while clearly communicating updates and impacts to end users
Maintain accurate documentation by recording end-user information, tracking incidents from initiation through resolution, updating knowledge bases, and developing help sheets, FAQs, and security documentation such as policies and incident response procedures
Support security initiatives by monitoring network traffic and system logs, contributing to security awareness programs and training materials, researching emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies, and assisting in evaluating their impact on the organization
Qualification
Required
High School/ GED
Pursing a degree or certifications related to Information Technology
Experience in providing technical support for desktop, network, and software technologies
Strong communication and time management skills are required
Knowledge of basic computer hardware, including laptops, desktops, and printers
Experience with desktop and server operating systems, including Mac, PC, and Linux
Application support experience with Microsoft Office
All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain
Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
