Responsibilities
Working in all areas of the nursery so that you can gain an understanding of what it takes to Grow Beautifully
Spending time in propagation, canning, pruning, assembling of orders, shipping, and sales
Besides the nursery experience, spending time in classroom learning and a scheduled field trip
Learning from our experienced craftsmen
Supporting our company values in the way you communicate with your fellow craftsmen
Adhering to safety policies and procedures
Performing other related duties to benefit the mission of the company as assigned
Qualification
Required
are pursuing a degree in Ornamental Horticulture or a related field or have experience, or knowledge of the horticulture industry and want to learn more
are excited to learn
are open to feedback and communicate well verbally and in writing
are able to work Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm and ½ day on Saturdays
are able to maneuver around the office and nursery, can lift up to 35 pounds, and can perform repetitive moments like squatting, bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing, with or without a reasonable accommodation
are interested in career opportunities with Monrovia after your internship is completed
