Responsibilities
Perform standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations
Follow standard work methods on recurring assignments but receives explicit instructions on unfamiliar assignments
Technical adequacy of routine work is reviewed on completion; non-routine work may be reviewed in progress
Perform at this level, one or a combination of such typical duties as:
Following specific instructions, assembles or constructs simple or standard equipment or parts, servicing or repairing simple instruments or equipment
Conducts a variety of tests using established methods, preparing test specimens, adjusting and operating equipment, recording test data, and pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors
Extracts engineering data from various prescribed, but non-standardized sources, processing the data following well-defined methods including elementary algebra and geometry, and presenting the data in prescribed form
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED certificate
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
At least 1 year of work-related experience in electrical/electronic systems or technical engineering support is required
Experience reading, interpreting and developing Engineering Drawings/Blueprints and schematics
Ability to write reports and review/develop technical documentation such as technical manuals as well as installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures
Ability to communicate orally and in writing to a variety of personnel at external activities
Organization and prioritization skills
Able to use MS Office Software Products such as Word and Excel
Preferred
Technical school training or some college-level coursework in engineering, electronics, or relevant technical fields
