Responsibilities
Invent, develop, integrate, and migrate technologies to deliver robust and scalable internal Amazon platforms with a focus on user experience, performance, and maintainability
Extend and customize the Amazon Platforms that meet our new customer's needs
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Platform Teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical deliverables
Review Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) in partnership with Product and Technical Program Managers, assess technical feasibility, and ensure alignment with business and engineering goals
Design and implement platform features and distributed systems using AWS Service and Salesforce
Conduct technical feasibility studies and comparative analyses to identify optimal implementation approaches that improve system performance, scalability, and user experience
Identify systemic problems and architect resilient solutions using reusable components and native cloud tools to reduce operational overhead and increase engineering velocity
Seed and integrate AWS-native solutions that power internal applications and services across Amazon business units, promoting automation and reusability
Engage with cross-disciplinary engineering teams to conceive and build innovative, secure, and fault-tolerant applications
Define system architecture, select design patterns, establish coding standards, and mentor developers on best practices and technical strategy
Work with Amazon engineering and business teams across global regions to plan, design, and implement new internal services
Partner with senior engineers, TPMs, and product teams to continuously identify opportunities to build and launch software solutions that meet organizational goals
Qualification
Required
A Master's Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience in job offered or related occupation in development in the Salesforce platform and cloud platform
In the alternative, a Bachelor's Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field followed by 5 progressively responsible years of experience in job offered or related occupation in development involving Salesforce and cloud platforms
3 years of experience designing and developing scalable, enterprise-level applications, including both CRM-based systems and standalone cloud-native architectures
2 years of minimum building experience backend and integration services on AWS, including Lambda, ECS, S3, SQS, SNS, and other infrastructure components as part of scalable microservice ecosystems
3 years of experience in leading the development of custom business applications on the Salesforce platform, including architecture, performance optimization, and full-stack customization using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Experience cloud and Flows
3 years of experience in troubleshooting complex production issues, optimizing system performance, and leading post-incident root cause analyses across integrated platforms
3 years of experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and event-driven services between distributed systems, including secure authentication and real-time data synchronization
3 years of experience designing scalable infrastructure and data models, with expertise in schema design, platform permissioning, and reusability across systems
3 years of experience in cross-platform architecture and solution design, using cloud-native technologies and reusable patterns to modernize legacy services
3 years of experience working with globally distributed engineering and product teams, leading technical discussions and translating complex requirements into engineering deliverables
