Responsibilities

Performs administrative and supervisory work involving planning, organizing, and directing administrative functions within a department
Supervises assigned administrative support staff to include hiring, assigning and reviewing duties, scheduling, training, and managing employee performance
Evaluates, develops, and implements changes in office procedures and equipment to improve productivity and workflow, simplify procedures, or reduce costs
Plans and conducts administrative studies and maintains administrative systems and policies such as recordkeeping, retention schedules, and departmental forms and document control
Submits an annual budget for an operation, assists in implementing budgetary controls, and participates in preparing annual reports
