Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate all Topcon products, ensuring optimal performance
Maintain accurate service records and enter relevant information into the service database
Provide technical repair support via phone or email to assist the Topcon dealer network
Assist in engineering evaluations, failure analysis, and generate reports with recommendations for improvement
Develop test fixtures, troubleshooting stations, procedures, work instructions, and service manuals
Conduct repair training for the Topcon dealer network and junior technicians, both virtually and in classroom environments
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics or optical instrument repair within a manufacturing or service environment
AA in electronics or related technology, or equivalent military training. Bachelor's preferred
Familiar with test equipment, such as but not limited to multi-meters and oscilloscopes to diagnose and adjust optical, mechanical, and electronic instruments
Experience using a collimator for the alignment and calibration of optical instruments is highly desirable
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
High attention to detail and precision in service work
Comfortable working with geometry and trigonometry, and able to solve math problems related to calibration, measurement, and optical systems
Preferred
Bachelor's preferred
Working knowledge of laser and surveying instruments is preferred
