Sr. Budget/Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a strategic business partner, responsible for advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and decision support while improving budget and forecast processes across the organization.

Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted strategic finance partner to branch and program leadership, providing insights, recommendations, and financial guidance to support operational and strategic decision making
Design, build, and maintain complex financial models, including scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, pro formas for new programs and sites, and long range planning models
Lead annual budgeting and recurring forecast cycles, including process design, timeline management, assumptions development, and variance analysis
Translate financial and operational data into clear, compelling analyses, reports, and presentations for senior leadership and executive audiences
Act as an advanced NSPB user and functional system expert, supporting model design, enhancements, troubleshooting, reporting, and user enablement
Develop and deliver finance and system related training, tools, and documentation to improve financial literacy and planning capabilities across the organization
Produce and maintain allocation methodologies and schedules, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with organizational objectives
Collaborate closely with FP&A teammates to improve models, processes, standards, and shared deliverables; provide informal mentoring and knowledge sharing across the team
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within FP&A, including process optimization, automation, and best practice adoption

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required; MBA and/or CPA preferred
Eight (8) or more years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or accounting, with demonstrated exposure to complex modeling and forecasting
Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and influence decisions through clear financial insights and executive-level presentations
Advanced financial modeling skills, including scenario modeling and decision-support analysis
Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning concepts, ideally within a multi-site or matrixed organization
Experience serving as a systems power user or functional owner for enterprise planning or budgeting software (NSPB experience strongly preferred)
Exceptional Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data structuring for analysis and presentation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for non-finance audiences
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams, support peers, and contribute to a high performing FP&A function
Experience working with or serving diverse populations; additional language skills are a plus

Preferred

NSPB experience strongly preferred
