Responsibilities

Develop and evaluate engineering plans and feasibility studies that support the design, improvement, and maintenance of refinery installations
Manage a group of small projects from FEL 0/1 through Detailed Design with an EPC Project
Assess the soundness of proposed engineering solutions and contribute to solution design, including feasibility testing and validation
Deliver small‑ to medium‑scale projects within established program plans, collaborating with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to ensure safe and efficient execution
Provide insight into process and system design, identify project risks, and recommend practical, innovative approaches
Support field and site‑maintenance activities by reviewing planned work and helping ensure alignment with established standards
Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies while helping identify and mitigate potential risks in daily work
Gather and analyze data to inform project decisions, provide clear progress updates to stakeholders, and support performance management by setting and tracking personal objectives
Continue building your technical abilities, stay current on industry best practices, and ensure all work meets regulatory and organizational compliance standards

Required

Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
Possess a valid driver's license
Must be willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to comply with the following: Travel up to 5%
Operate company vehicle on site premises and/or public roads up to 10%
Work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, and perform occasional duties
Transport articles up to 50 pounds
Climb ladders and stairs up to 200 feet
Work safely near large, hot, high-speed machines, around chemicals and hydrocarbons under high pressure and heat, and in harsh weather conditions
Wear fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment
Maintain face daily for proper respirator/face mask seal.(some examples include being free of facial hair and/or clean shaven)
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline
3 or more years of project development, project engineering, or project management coordination experience

Preferred

5 or more years of project development, project engineering, or project management coordination experience
5 or more years of experience working in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry
Professional Engineering license (PE)
A variety of experience in areas of Projects, such as a specific Engineering discipline, Construction execution, or Project Controls
Experience as a lead Engineer with an Engineering contractor
Excellent communication and negotiating skills
Proficiency in written communications and presentations
Field experience in construction-related activities
