Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and continuously enhance the Enterprise Technology Governance Framework and governance charter
Define technology governance principles, decision rights, and accountability structures across all enterprise domains
Integrate governance into enterprise planning cycles, linking technology strategy, budgeting, and portfolio management
Oversee IT risk identification, assessment, and mitigation in partnership with Information Security, Risk, and Audit teams
Ensure compliance with frameworks such as SOX, ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, ITIL, and other relevant industry standards
Monitor regulatory and compliance changes, ensuring timely updates to policies and controls
Develop and lead a technology portfolio governance model to manage prioritization, funding, and performance of technology initiatives
Establish standardized processes for project evaluation, approval, and value tracking through business cases, risk analyses, and other assessments as needed
Oversee ongoing project portfolio performance reviews, ensuring accountability for outcomes
Lead the Business Relationship Management (BRM) function to strengthen alignment between IT and business units
Translate business strategies into actionable IT capabilities and ensure IT roadmaps reflect business priorities
Develop communication channels and engagement frameworks to enhance stakeholder trust and collaboration
Establish and maintain enterprise-wide technology policies, standards, and procedures
Ensure all policies align with organizational objectives, compliance requirements, and operational risk thresholds
Oversee policy enforcement, control monitoring, and periodic effectiveness reviews
Define and manage governance performance metrics, dashboards, and KPIs
Report governance, compliance, and risk performance to executive leadership and provide actionable insights to improve maturity and organizational resilience
Identify trends and emerging risks through data analysis to inform strategic planning and decision-making
Drive governance maturity assessments and develop multi-year roadmaps for capability enhancement
Lead governance and compliance training programs across technology and business teams
Mentor governance professionals and build succession readiness within the function while promoting a culture of accountability, ethical leadership, and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Extensive years of progressive IT leadership experience, with strong exposure to governance, compliance, or risk management functions
Proven track record of developing and leading enterprise-level governance and control frameworks
Deep knowledge of ITGC, audit, and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, NIST, ISO)
Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and strategic influencing skills
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed organization
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related discipline
Preferred
Master's degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience
Additional training or certification in organization change management highly desirable
Certifications such as CGEIT, CRISC, CISA, ITIL, or PMP are highly desirable
