Responsibilities
Review purchase request for agency compliance
Identify procurement methodologies to maintain compliance with RCW's and DES procurement policies
Originate and finalize varying types of procurements to include but not limited to complex procurements, competitive solicitations and sole source procurements
Research new sources
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Two years experience as a Procurement and Supply Specialist 2 (full time experience as purchasing professional will substitute year for year)
Possess a valid, unrestricted Washington state driver's license or can obtain one within 30 days of employment
Willing and able to undergo an extensive background investigation, including a polygraph examination, credit check, criminal records check, and fingerprinting
Preferred
Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, procurement, logistics, supply management, or Purchasing Management
Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Knowledge of Department of Enterprise Services (DES) rules policies and procedures
Knowledge in supply and equipment procurement, stockage, utilization and control; devise efficient operational procedures; apply industry standard inventory control procedures; prepare clear, concise reports; establish and maintain working relationships with others
