Responsibilities
Develop test plans and test scripts based on business and functional requirements; review with analysts, developers, and vendors
Create first events validation plans, including production validation, backout mitigation, and post-install support
Execute test scripts, report defects in JIRA, and validate application behavior using SQL queries
Work with development teams/vendors to resolve defects, retest, and report progress to the testing lead or project manager
Execute first events validation, provide knowledge transfer to production support, update project documentation, and attend team meetings
Provide test execution and defect metrics to project stakeholders
Demonstrate foundational knowledge of credit card operations, banking, financial services, loyalty rewards, and regulatory requirements
Act as liaison with developers, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
Qualification
Required
8+ years functional testing experience in Banking/Financial Services/Insurance
Strong manual UI/front-end testing experience (Frictionless app preferred)
Experience with Cypress, Jira, qTest, and basic QMF/SUL
Strong verbal and written communication skills
SQL/DB2 experience for database testing and validation
Knowledge of Agile, SDLC, STLC, ATDD, test case design, and test data management
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent
ISTQB/CSTP/CAT certification
QA automation (Cypress/Selenium)
API testing
