Responsibilities
Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and post orders within a government location
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter points as directed by the site plan
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or site leadership when needed
Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorized access credentials, and help to control the flow of people, vehicles, and deliveries
Complete required security-related reports and logs, document unusual activity, and communicate observations to Allied Universal management and authorized site contacts
Qualification
Required
Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience
Have an armed guard card and/or license
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire
Be able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred
Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred
