The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting mission-critical mainframe applications while ensuring system stability, performance, and reliability.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, VSAM, JCL, and CICS
Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective mainframe solutions
Enhance and modify existing applications to improve performance, reliability, and functionality
Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure application accuracy and integrity
Monitor mainframe application performance and proactively identify optimization opportunities
Troubleshoot and resolve production and non-production issues in a timely manner
Collaborate with data, application, and infrastructure teams to resolve system-level challenges
Provide technical leadership and support to internal teams as needed
Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and documentation requirements
Qualification
Required
10+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe application development and support
Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and enterprise systems
Proven experience working with large-scale, mission-critical applications
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
High attention to detail and commitment to quality delivery
COBOL, IBM DB2, CICS (Customer Information Control System)
