Responsibilities
Manage personal injury accounts receivable from treatment through settlement
Track and follow up on cases involving:
Letters of Protection (LOPs)
Attorney liens
Deferred PI selfpay arrangements
Communicate directly with:
Plaintiff law firms
Legal assistants
Case managers
Submit and follow up on:
Medical bills
Ledgers
Final billing statements
Monitor aging reports and escalate stalled or highrisk accounts
Ensure accurate posting of payments, adjustments, and settlements
Coordinate with internal billing, case management, and compliance teams
Maintain clear documentation of all attorney and settlement communications
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in medical collections or AR
Direct experience with personal injury billing and LOP cases
Strong understanding of settlement-based reimbursement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and follow-through
Comfort working with EHR and billing systems (CareCloud or similar)
Preferred
Multistate PI experience (FL, GA, SC)
Experience in a multispecialty or MSO environment
Familiarity with chiropractic, pain management, orthopedic, or surgical billing
Strong Excel or reporting skills
