Responsibilities
Support Repairs Manager with day-to-day responsibilities
Plan and schedule all Repair Department services including machine and hand sewing repairs, shaving, and repairs inspections. Make sure supplies are stocked for all repair processes. Manage and maintain button inventory
Maintain an associate-centered workplace through floor time, associate engagement, and an open-door policy
Coach, mentor, and develop team, training when needed
Ensure Inbound Repair Racks are organized to reduce garment aging
Oversee the daily operation (which may include monitoring inspectors, machine sewers, hand sewers, and shavers)
Clearly define daily and weekly objectives for the repair department. Champion successes and address areas of opportunity
Track, report, and explain department metrics
Identify, champion, and implement process improvements
Forecast staffing requirements based on established repairs and backlog; adjust as the business warrants
Ensure that budgeted service levels are met (or exceeded)
All other duties assigned by the Repair Manager
Qualification
Required
3+ years supervising a team in a production, distribution, manufacturing or call center
Knowledge of Google Workspace - Excel and Word
Strong knowledge and understanding of garment construction and garment alterations
Knowledge of garment manufacturing is a plus
Understanding of professional sewing machines, sergers, blind hem machines
Strong analytical, problem solving and reporting skills
Excellent leadership, team building, communication and organizational skills
Comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards
Stand and walk throughout a shift
Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods
Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time
Reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds
Operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position which requires coordinated movements (industrial sewing machines, sergers)
