Unit Support Assistant

They are seeking a Unit Support Assistant to support daily operations in the Emergency Department by maintaining a clean environment, ensuring supplies are stocked, and assisting with patient transport.

Responsibilities
Maintain and clean equipment as requested by Registered Nurse
Perform other transportation functions as required, including delivery of patient specimens, medical records, and patient care equipment
Collaborate with members of the health care team to promote patient care delivery and overall unit functioning
Prepare rooms for admissions and discharges by keeping them neat and uncluttered
Organize and clean supply rooms and maintain established supply levels
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Requires full range of body motion including handling and frequent patient lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination
Requires frequent standing, walking, bending/stooping, kneeling, reaching and squatting
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
