Responsibilities

Own projects through their entire lifecycle, from initial concept generation through assembly and production bring-up
Establish equipment requirements and develop line design concepts
Determine optimal layout of production workstations for product flow, ergonomics, and efficiency
Work closely with product design team and provide feedback on design for manufacturability
Develop specifications and manage procurement process of new equipment
Create detailed project schedules and provide updates to program stakeholders
Act as central project manager and continually monitor progress of all project inputs
Coordinate the assembly, validation, and final equipment buy-off

Required

3 or more years of experience as a hands-on mechanical, manufacturing, or design engineer working on manufacturing systems
Experience creating technical specifications for automated equipment
Experience introducing new products and new processes from a prototype environment to production
Experience with various manufacturing processes (assembly, fastening, dispensing, laser welding, electrical testing)
Experience designing production line layouts in AutoCAD
Proficiency designing mechanical equipment, fixturing, and tooling in SolidWorks
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
