Qualification
Required
Four years of full-time paid experience in the inspection of elevators or in the design, maintenance, or repair of elevators, two years of which was at the journey-level
Two years of mechanical or electrical work experience may be substituted for two years of the required non-journey level experience; or 30 semester or 45 quarter units in mechanical or electrical engineering upper division courses, from an accredited college or university, may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for a maximum of two years of the required non-journey-level experience
A valid Class C driver's license issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is required at the time of filing
A valid certification as a Certified Competent Conveyance Inspector issued by the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health is required prior to completion of a six-month probationary period
