Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventive maintenance (PM) on facility equipment and systems
Maintain cleanliness and appearance of facility equipment, including cleaning and painting as needed
Execute general painting tasks for floors, walls, and other facility surfaces
Support overall facility upkeep and repair to ensure a clean, safe, and functional environment
Accurately complete required documentation and maintenance records
Participate in the annual planning process by understanding plant objectives and identifying opportunities for improvement
Perform various duties in support of the facility and surrounding areas, including managing individual projects and overseeing multiple outside contractors as necessary
Maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of facility systems and infrastructure, including but not limited to:
HVAC system for the office and plant floor
Water softener and RO (Reverse Osmosis) systems
Mefog humidification system
Tower water cooling and treatment systems
Air make up units, boilers, air compressors and air dryers
Grounds sprinkler system and building drainage
Building interior/exterior walls and floors
Asphalt and concrete surfaces
Membrane roofing, roof exhaust fans and stacks
All interior and exterior doors, dock plates and locks
Lighting systems (interior and exterior)
Fire protection system
Plumbing systems and warehouse racking
Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives, including projects focused on cost reduction, energy efficiency, equipment reliability, and process enhancements
Develop and maintain preventive maintenance procedures; periodically audit and update existing processes
Perform all work in compliance with Magna and Magna Engineered Glass Systems Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures as well as all federal, State and local laws; promptly report any hazardous condition or workplace injury to immediate supervisor or EHS designate
Lead or support sustainability and energy management initiatives in alignment with corporate goals and projects

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications in facility maintenance, HVAC, or related fields preferred
Previous experience in preventative maintenance and facility systems strongly preferred
Proven ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
Ability to understand and follow written, verbal, and diagrammatic instructions; strong practical reasoning and troubleshooting skills
Working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment; experience with hand and power tools required
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods
Demonstrated good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills to communicate with internal and external contacts and work in a team environment
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
Knowledge of safety standards and protocols in manufacturing environments
English proficiency required, with strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

Technical training or certifications in facility maintenance, HVAC, or related fields preferred
Previous experience in preventative maintenance and facility systems strongly preferred
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Forklift license
Scissorlift and boomlift licenses
