InternWesBanco is a banking institution seeking an Insurance Services Intern to learn foundational banking and insurance concepts through a rotational program. The intern will develop skills in various retail functional areas while performing tasks and gaining knowledge for potential placement into a regular position after the program's completion.

Responsibilities
Develops and maintains knowledge of Bank products, Insurance products, services, policies and guidelines
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of compliance and regulatory issues
Assists management team with execution of day-to-day operations of assigned business unit
Completes tasks and assigned projects according to established completion dates
Acts as a resource for customer, business and operational issues while exercising discretion and sound judgement
Provides exemplary customer service in person, by email or by telephone, as defined by Bank pledges
Attends and completes all required training by assigned completion date
Supports Bank’s CRA initiatives through active community involvement
Other duties may be assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently attending college or university in the field of Business or similar required
Willingness to provide a level of service which will clearly differentiate us from our competitors
Professional demeanor in appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic and attitude
Possess clear, concise, effective written and oral communication skills to effectively express thoughts, ideas and concepts to management, bank employees and bank customers in a collaborative and solutions oriented manner
Ability to operate within strict deadlines and to work independently
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management
Ability to independently prioritize tasks
Must be a self-starter and willing to work as part of a team
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding bank client information and bank policy and procedures

Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing
You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner
Must be able to travel for trainings and other appointments within the market as needed

Coursework completed in these fields a plus
