The role involves improving operational reliability and efficiency while leading instrumentation and automation projects.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and ongoing support to the site's 24/7 manufacturing operations related to process control systems, safety systems, process instrumentation, DCS, and PLCs

Troubleshoot and resolve control system, instrumentation, and automation issues using technical knowledge and data analysis skills

Identify continuous improvement opportunities related to control systems, electrical systems, and automation

Support production and maintenance teams in yield improvement, efficiency optimization, and reliability projects

Lead the installation, commissioning, and startup of instrumentation and automation projects, including capital projects, ensuring compliance with functional, budgetary, and schedule requirements

Ensure compliance with safety standards, site procedures, and regulatory requirements related to electrical and control systems

Required

3+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing or chemical process environment

Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming, Human-Machine Interface (HMI) development, and variable frequency drives (VFDs)

Experience working with process instrumentation in an industrial or manufacturing setting

Read P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control drawings

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Controls, Automation, or related field preferred)
