Responsibilities

From information in the form of sketches, notes, or verbal instructions from engineers, assembles and integrates pertinent information into the work assignment
Prepares structural layouts in preliminary or final form utilizing analytical information prepared either by self or by others
Develops advanced 3-dimensional models of structural features using CADD and/or BIM software and assists others in using these models for plan presentation and dredged volume calculations
Responsible for the coordination, direction, control, and accomplishment of quality standards for development of engineering projects and plans using current Corps of Engineers CADD, GIS and/or BIM standards and procedures
Determines the adequacy of selected items of design to satisfy significantly complex tasks
Develops complete drawings of intricate and complex structural items of reinforced concrete, steel, wood, gravity structures, foundation systems rubble mound breakwaters, navigation channels and the like to satisfy project needs

Required

One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) and 3D modeling to develop detailed models and contract drawings of complex structures or machinery for multiple engineering disciplines
One year of specialized experience which includes experience developing ADVANCED 3D models, design drawings and detailed layouts in multiple platforms; AND mentoring/training other technicians or engineers in applying CADD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) principles
You must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration
You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship
One year trial/probationary period may be required
Direct Deposit of Pay is required
Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees
