Valley Children's Healthcare is seeking a Vice President of Finance who will report to the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. This role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, analyses, and internal financial controls, while collaborating with various departments to enhance financial literacy and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Planning, managing and implementing all consolidated Hospital financial reporting, analyses, forecasting, and maintaining of internal financial controls
Establishes policies and procedures designed to promote financial control, to enhance the financial position of the hospital, and to meet the tests of the independent auditors and the Board of Trustees
Directs the financial accounting and reporting practices in accordance with Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) requirements and in compliance with the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as other regulatory agency, state, and federal requirements
Works collaboratively with others throughout the organization to enhance financial reporting and review, improve financial literacy and develop related strategic initiatives
Serves as the primary liaison to external parties including, but not limited to, accountants/auditors, rating agencies, financial advisors, and insurance brokers

Required

Bachelors Degree In Accounting
Minimum five (5) years Healthcare/Public Accounting experience combined
Good organizational and verbal/written communication

Preferred

Masters Degree In Business Administration
CPA
Minimum ten (10) years experience
Preference will be given to those candidates with experience who have demonstrated a mastery of the job content through success in this role in multiple organizations
