InternWesBanco is seeking an Investments Intern to gain foundational banking and investment skills through hands-on experience. The intern will assist in investment research, macroeconomic analysis, and portfolio management while collaborating with the investment team.

Develops knowledge and understanding of investments and portfolio management concepts
Assists management team with execution of day-to-day research functions
Conducts investment research and due diligence on potential and existing investments
Prepares and presents written and oral report summarizing findings
Completes tasks and assigned projects according to established completion dates
Participates in regular portfolio manager calls and reviews the investment process and presentations for developmental purposes
Develops and maintains knowledge of Bank products, Investment products, services, policies, and guidelines
Other duties may be assigned

This position is 100% in office
The employee will work full time in an office in a designated WesBanco location
Consideration for location will be Wheeling, WV
The WesBanco Investments Intern will learn key foundational banking and investment concepts to improve banking, investments, research and management skills in a program through various investment related functional areas
Develops skills related to investment research, with a focus on equity, fixed income, and mutual funds
Assists in macroeconomic research and portfolio management functions
Collaborates with the Chief Investment Strategist on other projects overall process and knowledge base of the investment team
Willingness to provide a level of service which will clearly differentiate us from our competitors
Professional demeanor in appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic and attitude
Possess clear, concise, effective written and oral communication skills to effectively express thoughts, ideas and concepts to management, bank employees and bank customers in a collaborative and solutions oriented manner
Must be detail oriented with strong detail to accuracy
Ability to operate within strict deadlines and to work independently
Ability to independently prioritize tasks
Must be a self-starter and willing to work as part of a team
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding bank client information and bank policy and procedure
Have a passion for learning and a desire to build a career in investment management

Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing
You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner
Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
Currently attending a college or university in the field of Business or similar
Preferred
Coursework completed in these fields a plus
