Responsibilities

Lead a team of manufacturing engineers in providing Design for Manufacture input on development and production programs
Transition new or revised designs from development to production, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption
Develop and manage proposal estimates, leveraging expertise in manufacturing processes and costs
Lead manufacturing process validation activities, driving quality and efficiency in our production operations
Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives, improving overall program profitability
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and mitigate risks to production, ensuring timely and effective resolution
Provide manufacturing support to Lockheed Martin and supplier factories, ensuring alignment and optimal performance
Manage program‑related manufacturing and tooling issues as they arise

Required

Lead a team of manufacturing engineers in providing Design for Manufacture input on development and production programs
Transition new or revised designs from development to production, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption
Develop and manage proposal estimates, leveraging expertise in manufacturing processes and costs
Lead manufacturing process validation activities, driving quality and efficiency in our production operations
Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives, improving overall program profitability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks to production, ensuring timely and effective resolution
Provide manufacturing support to Lockheed Martin and supplier factories, ensuring alignment and optimal performance
Manage program-related manufacturing and tooling issues as they arise
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the United States, including manufacturing engineers, design engineers, quality engineers, global supply chain professionals, finance teams, production planning and control specialists, contracts experts, and program managers
Communicate effectively across functional and physical boundaries, ensuring alignment and coordination among diverse teams
Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners, driving collaboration and mutual success

Preferred

Experience with development programs & transitioning development programs to production
Experience with design for automation & automation of manufacturing processes
Knowledge & experience of additive manufacturing processes, materials, & application
Experience with model based engineering
Experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
Proposals / estimating and earned value management
System Cost Account Manager experience
Experience with leading teams
Experience working with government customers
Knowledge of Windchill PLM
Knowledge of the SAP MRP production control system
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical colleagues
Experience developing training & upskilling plans for a team
